These terms govern your use of Afia. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Afia.

Read this first
Afia is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Consult a doctor before starting any exercise or nutrition programme, and stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or any symptom that concerns you. Exercise carries inherent risk of injury. You take part at your own risk.
Afia does not diagnose, treat, prevent or monitor any medical condition, and is not a medical device. The PAR-Q screening in onboarding is a general readiness questionnaire, not a medical assessment, and a coach's decision to programme around an injury is not clinical care.
Who can use Afia
You must be 18 or older. Coaches must hold whatever qualifications, registrations and insurance their own jurisdiction requires of them — that is their responsibility, not ours, and we do not verify it.
Accounts
Coaches create their own account. Clients are invited by a coach and cannot self-register. You are responsible for your login credentials and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly at support@afia.fit if you think someone else has access.
Do not share an account between people. One account, one person.
Your coach, and what Afia is not
This is the most important thing in these terms, so it gets its own section.
Coaches on Afia are independent professionals. They are not our employees, agents or partners, and we do not supervise, review or endorse the coaching they provide. The coaching relationship is between you and your coach.
Afia supplies the software those coaches work in. We are responsible for the platform functioning as described. We are not responsible for the training programmes, nutrition guidance, or any other advice your coach gives you, and we are not party to the commercial arrangement between a client and their coach.
If you have a dispute with your coach, it is a matter between the two of you. We will help where we reasonably can, but we do not arbitrate it.
How programmes are generated
Afia uses AI to draft training programmes from the information a client provides — goals, history, injuries and PAR-Q answers. A human coach reviews and approves every programme before a client receives it. The coach is the decision-maker; the AI is a drafting tool they direct.
AI output can be wrong. Coaches are expected to apply their own professional judgement, and clients should raise anything that looks unsuitable with their coach rather than assuming a generated plan is correct.
Subscriptions, trials and billing
Coaches pay for Afia. Clients pay Afia nothing — a client's access is provided through their coach.
- New coach accounts include a 30-day free trial. No card is required to start it.
- Plans are priced per month in US dollars and differ only by how many clients you can coach at once: Starter $49 for 6 clients, Growth $79 for 12, Studio $119 for 20, Pro $199 for 35, and Elite $329 for 60.
- Prices can change; we will give you notice before a change affects an existing subscription. The price shown at the point of purchase is the one that applies.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of a charge. Contact support and we will process it.
- Your plan sets the maximum number of clients on your roster at one time. If you reach it, you can move to a higher plan; we do not charge overage fees.
- If a subscription lapses, the account becomes read-only. Data is retained per our privacy policy and access is restored on renewal.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse or threaten anyone through the service
- Upload illegal content, or content you do not have the right to share
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data from Afia
- Resell, sublicense or white-label Afia without our written agreement
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your qualifications as a coach
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data
- Interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or circumvent access controls
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Where circumstances allow we will give notice first.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into Afia — your training data, photographs, messages and notes. You grant us the limited licence needed to store it, process it and show it to the people it is meant for, such as your coach. Nothing more.
Coaches own the programmes they write. Afia owns the software, the exercise library, and the platform itself.
Availability
We work to keep Afia running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and faults happen. We do not promise the service will be error-free.
Ending your use
You can stop using Afia and delete your account at any time, from within the app or by contacting support. Deletion is permanent — see the privacy policy for what happens to your data and when.
We may terminate or suspend an account for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if we stop offering the service. If we discontinue Afia we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Afia is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
For the avoidance of doubt, and as set out above, we are not liable for the coaching advice an independent coach gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and give notice of significant changes. Continuing to use Afia after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
